How many cars does an average car salesman sell a month?

About 10 to 15 vehicles per month is a useful general benchmark for a full-time car salesperson, but it is not a universal measured average. NADA's dealership planning guidance uses 12 to 15 monthly units as a productivity guide. Actual results vary with store traffic, available inventory, staffing, experience, and how customer leads are assigned. New employees may sell fewer while building skills and repeat business, while established salespeople at busy stores may sell more. New-car and used-car departments can also operate differently, and shared transactions may affect how sales are counted. When evaluating a job, ask for the dealership's median monthly sales per salesperson, the number of active salespeople, and the compensation earned at realistic sales levels.
